  • Stormey Nielsen

LCSW, Co-Founder of Focal Point UT

Stormey Nielsen did her undergrad at Utah Valley University in social work and shortly after attended the University of Utah to obtain her masters degree with an emphasis in forensics. She has experienced working with kids and teens in foster care and residential settings. Though she has worked with youth surrounding abuse, behavioral issues and trauma, in the more recent years she was drawn to adoption and the identity that surrounds it. Stormey was adopted transcially and raised in Utah County. In reflecting on her own experiences and the experience of those she has worked with, the nuances of Transracial Adoption became a passion. She hopes to educate and give back to those in this community. In her free time she enjoys music, baking, shopping, and spending time with loved ones.

Graphic Designer/Owner May Creative , LLC

Hi, I'm Kayla! I'm the owner and graphic designer for May Creative. I've created over 200 profiles for adoptive families over 3 years. Over this time I've learned so much about what goes into an effective profile book. It really is the first impression and I LOVE highlighting what makes each and every family unique! I truly enjoy being a part of the adoption process, and I've watched so many families grow, sometimes more than once! I absolutely love my job, and it makes my heart super happy!
