3 Things You Need For A Private Adoption Home Study

Video CC: Hey, what's up everybody? Today I'm going to talk about three things that you need in order to get your home study approved for private infant adoption.

First and foremost, you need to have a licensed social worker come and do the home study. This is someone who's going to look at your home, speak with you and your family to make sure that you are prepared to be adoptive parents.

The second thing you need to do is get a background check done. So you're going to have fingerprints and an extensive check done to make sure you don't have any sort of criminal history that can make you ineligible to adopt.

And the third thing you need to do is provide financial information to your social worker. They're going to want to see things like your tax return, bank statements and a monthly budget in order to make sure that you can afford to adopt. Now these are just a few of many things that are required in order to obtain your finalized home study report and legally be able to adopt. Want to know more information?
